Washington D.C., October 15, 2024<\/b>. The <\/span>Young Americas Business Trust (YABT)<\/span><\/a> is participating in the <\/span>World Food Forum 2024<\/span><\/a>, organized by the <\/span>Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO<\/span><\/a>, which is taking place in Rome, Italy, until October 18, with a live broadcast on the Forum’s portal.<\/span><\/p>

This Forum represents an opportunity to highlight innovative and sustainable initiatives developed by young entrepreneurs around the Americas. YABT’s contributions include a series of projects focused on promoting sustainability and agri-food innovation, presented to stakeholders during the event in Rome.<\/span><\/p>

YABT’s participation in the World Food Forum is the result of the collaboration with FAO through its Youth and Women Office, which seeks to strengthen the impact of youth projects at a global level, and the participatory and continuous processes that began weeks ago with the Regional Forums. These meetings allowed YABT to connect with young leaders from the region, including the Finalists of the <\/span>Talent and Innovation Competition of the Americas (TIC Americas)<\/span><\/a> and especially the <\/span>InnovAction 2.0 Challenge, <\/span><\/a>allowing the voices of young entrepreneurs to be heard and their solutions that positively impact grassroots communities to be made visible in these high-level spaces among global actors.<\/span><\/p>

On the second day of the Forum, Katherin Mend\u00e9z, YABT Programs Officer, was one of the speakers at the Session “Translating policy recommendations on youth participation and employment into concrete actions at the local level.” At the event, Mend\u00e9z highlighted the role of YABT as a key and pioneering actor in our region, channeling efforts and alliances with different sectors to support young entrepreneurs and leaders who seek to make positive changes and contribute to the development agenda.<\/span><\/p>

\u201cWe had the opportunity to communicate to global actors how YABT facilitates the empowerment of young people through programs and projects that offer them mentoring, skills development, access to financing, spaces for participation and an extensive support network,\u201d<\/span><\/i> said Katherin M\u00e9ndez upon leaving the panel.<\/span> \u201cThis allows these agents of change to lead solutions from the local to the global, based on their own realities,\u201d <\/span><\/i>M\u00e9ndez said.<\/span><\/p>

Thanks to these alliances with organizations such as <\/span>FAO<\/span><\/a>, <\/span>OAS<\/span><\/a>, <\/span>IICA<\/span><\/a>, and other strategic partners such as the <\/span>Inter-American Foundation<\/span><\/a>, YABT can position the ventures of our youth on the global agenda. The results obtained through these alliances reflect the tangible and lasting impact of the contributions that YABT partners have enabled to develop.<\/span><\/p>

YABT remains committed to supporting actions with and for young entrepreneurs and change agents in the Americas. We invite more public and private organizations to continue collaborating in the creation of a more sustainable and equitable future.<\/span><\/p>

Global forums such as the World Food Forum are a very important opportunity for solutions developed by young people from our communities to have a global presence.<\/span><\/p>
